College Scholarships

The Baltimore-Washington Conference will once again be offering college scholarships for the Fall 2019 semester. Students can apply January 3 – March 7, 2019 through an online application system. Scholarships are available to students attending or enrolling in accredited colleges and universities in the United States. Students must be an active member of a church for at least one year and be attending (or will attend) an accredited college or university within the United States full-time. Students will need to provide their official transcript (high school or college) and contact information for two church references (pastor and another member of the church). In addition, the student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. For additional information and to apply, visit www.bwcumc.org/administration/local-church-resources/scholarships/.

Youth Apple Butter Breakfast

FUMC Youth Group will be having a breakfast Saturday, October 6, 6:00 AM -9:00 AM in the Social Hall open to the public. All proceeds will go to benefit activities of the Youth Group this year. We will have games, and an epic paint balloon challenge!

*Anyone who wants to participate in the paint balloon challenge should wear old clothes and bring a towel!

*Anyone who does not have a teen, but would like to donate a dessert or side dish, it would be MOST appreciated! You may drop off your dish at The Blue between 3:00 – 5:00 PM. You are also WELCOME to stay and watch the festivities.

Silent Auction

Our Youth Group Silent Auction closes Sunday, June 10 during lunch after the 11:00 service. Pork BBQ, baked potatoes with all the fixins, hot and cold drinks will be provided for auction attenders who wish to have lunch. The Auction was extended another week due to the inclement weather on June 3.

Silent Auction

FUMC Youth Group will be having a silent auction Sunday, June 3, in the Social Hall beginning at 8:00 AM. Any items or services anyone can donate will be greatly appreciated. If you have new or gently used items please contact Nikki Fauver at fauver@yahoo.com, i.e. home décor, craft items, game tickets, services (spring yard cleanup etc.), woodworking items, gift cards/certificates, babysitting, etc.

Youth Group Fun Night

September 10 beginning at 5:00 PM the Youth will be having a Fun Night with Karaoke, archery, basketball, outdoor games and a bonfire. There will be pizza and drinks provided. We encourage youth to come out and bring their friends for an evening of fun.

07/16 – Swim Night!

The Youth will meet at 4:30 at the blue and leave for the Wood’s Resort for a night of swimming, fellowship, and Pizza! Please provide swim gear and sun screen. The youth will return to the Blue at 7:30 – Special Thanks to Nancy Fairall in arranging his Activity

07/23 – Life Skills Night!

The Youth Group meets at its usual time to learn practical life skills. Whether that means changing a tire or baking a quiche, good times are guranteed.

07/30 – Service Night!

A Chance for the youth to give back to their community through service. The youth will meet at their usual time, and leave from the blue.

08/06 – Swim Night II!

Swimming at Cacapon National Park. The schedule will be as it was for the Woods Swim trip.
