Staff Parish Relations Committee


The SPRC is the church’s personnel committee for our professional paid staff, including the Pastor. It supervises the staff and the Pastor, looking after and evaluating their work, and working with them to set measurable and realizable goals, so that they may be effectively and fruitfully accomplished.  The SPRC shares supervision of non-pastoral paid staff with the Pastor, who is the lead supervisor of this staff.  In its work, the SPRC looks after the relations of staff to staff (including the Pastor), while also looking after the relations between the staff and the congregation.  The SPRC is responsible for all hiring and firing of staff, and therein looks after the drafting and redrafting of position job descriptions.  Those job descriptions are the basis of staff evaluation, and inspire yearly goal-setting.
