First Aid Training

The training for First Aid has been set up for January 7 at 9:00 AM at The Blue.

The cost of the training is $30 per person. If you wish to write a check, please make it out to FUMC with First Aid on the memo line.

Anyone who would like to make a donation to cover the cost for someone who is taking the training is welcome to do so. We do not want anyone who wishes to take the training to experience the cost as a deterrent to taking the training.

If you have questions, please contact Marty Harvey at 304.676.6906 or e-mail him at martys.tools@yahoo.com.

Sunday devotions at the Blue will resume in the fall in order to provide a complete 12 week Bible Study to become spiritually and physically fit to conclude with a 5K team walk/run. During our Run for God Summer Break, there are some fun ways to “get God in the neighborhood”…here’s how:

“Val’s Video Runvotions!” — Is your busy summer schedule keeping you from making Bible Study? Are you out of town traveling for work or summer vacation? Going to a family reunion?Join FUMC Run for God Coach Valerie Andrews for a weekly “Run for God” AND “Walk in the Word”.  Coach Val will take us out on a run with her, share her inspirational journey with God, give us healthy tips, and advise on how to apply to our daily walks with Him. She will share her fitness tips while taking us in the neighborhood to share God’s Love.

“Run for Robots” — Fundraiser On July 23rd at 9:00 a.m., FUMC Go Run for God will host a 5K gentle walk/run to launch this year’s Morgan County Fair.  Join us for a community event at BSHS, travel down Concord to Widmeyer, circle the track, and return to BSHS for awesome fair family fun.  Donations of $10 will support Relentless Robotics 4H Club builders and team competitions as FUMC supports community student assets by raising awareness for STEM initiatives.

Registration forms are available at the church office if you would like to participate on July 23.

Run for God

Join God’s Team! FUMC Go Run for God is a community to share the love of Jesus through a 12 week running program, beginning Sunday, April 24, to grow both spiritually and physically.

It is completely inclusive of ALL runners and walkers from all ages. Children and families are encouraged to participate together. Athletes are challenged to improve their skills physically and share Jesus. There are no restrictions, other than those physically healthy to walk with us in a journey to better know God, share His love to others, and improve our spiritual strength!
